Castle of Brittany, Large Room

Post by fargris »

I am stuck in the large room of Castle of Brittany - I can kill the three wizards with a bit of trouble, but I can't get into the room with the electric dragon. There is a large boulder blocking the way, and I can't push it because the dragons are clustering around the entrance, and I can't use dimension door to pass it either. How do I get past this one?

Generally speaking, I think this map might be broken. Maybe it did actually work a long time ago?

Walking to the top of the room, then waiting until the dragons have followed you on the opposite side of the wall, then running back to the boulder real fast (before the dragons can follow you) may help.

For me, the charm spell and the /killpets command works reliably. (But this "solution" doesn't feel like an intended solution to me...)

As long as I can recall, I have used this same technique, and it worked for me also.

I discovered this while wearing a helm of xray vision - part of my standard equipment at that time.

Good advice, chaps. I should have thought of that myself, I suppose.

But charm? You'd need one hell of a convincing smile to convince an electric dragon, surely? I generally find earth walls to be very good at pushing monsters into a corner where I can do things to them.
