How may people have use the GTK2 client?

I use it successfully and prefer it.

GTK2 Client Bug - User Text Input Doubled

Post by justinchudgar »

Any text entered by keyboard or by paste from another application is doubled. I.e. typing the <a> key results in "aa" in the text entry box. Pasting "say hello" from gedit results in "say hellosay hello" in the text entry box. The backspace key and the delete key remove 2 characters at a time.

Pasting from the message box, however, works just fine. Needless to say, this makes the client unusable.

I'm running ubuntu edgy, and have tried the default ubuntu gtk2 client and the client from sourceforge. I'm mystified.[/img]

Given how the one on sourceforge works for others, I'm suspecting some sort of odd gtk issue. What version of gtk is running?

I've tried gtkv2 from CVS so i can test the newpickup patch (rings/amu & flesh) and it worked fine. I've dropped it only because it's ugly - i don't like the fixed sceen depth and the click to see what you want.
