Debian apt-get source.list?

Post by penbrock »

I am running the server on a Debian box. Everything is fine except apt-get only installs version 1.9.0.
Anyone know what I need to add to my apt/source.list to update to the newest server with .DEB

v1.9.1 is waiting to go through the Debian build/QA process before becoming available in their apt repository.

At the moment, it looks like 1.9.1 has made it to Unstable. There's no indication of when 1.9.1 will make it to Testing though.

As for "moving" to Unstable just to get the updated version of Crossfire; IMNSHO might be more work (and a headache?) then it's worth. 8)

That call is utlimately up to you though.

I just received this email:

Date: Tue, 18 Jul 2006 15:08:16 -0600
<snip>
Subject: crossfire-client 1.9.1-1 MIGRATED to testing

FYI: The status of the crossfire-client source package in Debian's testing distribution has changed.

Previous version: 1.9.0-1
Current version: 1.9.1-1

Wow that was fast, I thought it would take months to move to testing.
Thanks for letting me know. All upgraded :)

That one came fast but the update (plugin correction) 1.9.1-2(or3) is taking forever to make it to testing

FWIW - The Debian package website hasn't updated yet, but I just downloaded crossfire-server (1.9.1-4) for testing through/via apt.

I had installed 1.9.1-4 a few days ago by added unstable , update, then installed only the crossfire and removed the unstable from the source.list.

But thanks for letting me know. Us Debian users need to keep an eye out for each other :D
