Okey between those 2 i put an space so lets check if its working now
Cant get my crossfire server to work!

Damn! still nothing.. i think its no idea for me to host :(

It was about 2 minutes between posts - the metaserver updates every 5 minutes.

Do i need to have the server online?
Cant get my crossfire server to work!

Yes, the server needs to be online with an active Internet connection, the Crossfire server/application needs to be running as well. And, the necessary ports accessible or available too.

Otherwise, the metaserver will remove you from it's listing.

where do i find the application program if its a program

Windows, assuming it was installed to the default location:
Start -> Programs -> Crossfire Server -> Crossfire Server

Linux:
/var/crossfire/
or
/var/games/crossfire

MacOS X:
/usr/crossfire

If you're using Windows, do not use Wordpad or Notepad to edit the file, as they don't correctly handle the file format (they mess with newlines).

Install a decent editor like Notepad++ and use it to edit the file.
