Where to find a "writing pen" for inscription.

Post by Guest »

Does anyone know where I could find a writing pen to write spell scrolls with? I've searched most of the shops in scorn several times for one. If it's a rare item you don't have to give away any spoilers, but it doesn't seem like it would be.
Thanks.

You can find some in random maps.

There are afaik two places (at least in Scorn) where you can find them.

Here's a hint: one is a place where reading is the core business :)

Second place is a public service, where when you talk to an employee you can buy a pen.

bassicly hope you find one in the scorn trash reselling area, because its a pita to get one anywhere else...

and a good rule of thumb, if you cant find one, you probably shouldnt be using one, as they can get quite dangerous.

Its only dangerous if you get into writing over spell scrolls. Blank scrolls are safe.

Also, many are safe to write over (i.e. non-attack ones, and not word of recall either)

Umm, there is some risk of stat loss.

You might get confused and then, continuing writing, you accidently write quite dangerous spells, and then read them accidently. How does it feel to stay in your own mMeteor swarm uh?
Bibendi ergo sum
or rather: sum ergo bibendi

That's why you look at the messages scrolling by, and stop to cast cure confusion when you're confused :)

Ahh, well there are two things I use to deal with that. I tend to inscribe scrolls much lower level than my inscription level, so the chance of getting confused is much lower, and I also frequently will go to no-magic zones to do it (or, make my own antimagic rune)
