While barbarian's make great fighters - they start out missing a very useful skill .. literacy.wolfbane2492 wrote:ok down loading it now im thinking dwarf barbarian or warrior i cnat deside
I can't recall what changes have been made recently in regards to the literacy skill, but in earlier version a character without literacy could not read things such as the in-game signs.
Plus their (Barbarian) Intelligence penalty will make learning new skills and spells (assuming you decide to try some spellcasting) difficult and expensive.
I would suggest the dwarf warrior.

You only need the maps if you want to:wolfbane2492 wrote:ok thanks downloaded it should i also download the map set thing is that importent
1.) Run a server
2.) Create your own map or maps
Otherwise, in order to play you just need one of the Clients which can be found at:

It looks like you downloaded the server.
To simply play on a public (or private) server, without running your own, you only need the GTK client.
I'm assuming you're running Windows, so you'll want this file: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/cros ... e?download
