What client do you use?

Why does cf support so many clients? How much is still in use?
Whats the point of keeping support for older clients?

So: are there server statistics of who is using what client? Also let us know why you like to stick to your client, point out the good points.

Nice, the discussion is still going on!

I like the gravestone part.

But why not transport the gravestone to a graveyard so you can pick it up after comming back from the death. Of course the amount will be higher based on the ammound of XP that is storred in it. And only you can do this (in the same way you access your appartment ...

Nobody ever said that Crossfire aimed to be an easy game, with no risks involved. The base idea is that a high-level character has no reason to be less careful than a newbie one when crawling a dungeon.
I was playing this game for more than a year... the thing is that If you invest so much time ...

loss_20p = tmp->stats.exp * 0.05;

The XP loss from death is a server configuration option and found in the file "living.c"
I dont think you can call this a configuration setting (editing a c file) but anyway. cant we set the CVS standard on "loss_20p = tmp->stats.exp * 0.05;" as I understand that most people want this setting to ...

Can I conclude that we want this inplemented into CF? And that we try if possible introduce a system into the current quests where possible and include it in new quests?

Die and lose to much XP! He he... it is funn right?

I think that we lose to much XP after death. I mean the game suppose to be fun right?
Because I dare to try difficult quests (warrior tower) I die a couple of times.

Why am I punnished so hard for doing such a quest?

Cheers,
Bastiaan

also, just take back whatever item you need to collect, like in the royalty quests, and drop it on a altar, at the end of the map, or in a seperate map.

I think this is the way forward. Per quest start you pickup an item and drop it at the end.
Sometimes you earned already some XP if you made it ...

What is your questing level?

Hi,

What is your questing level?

To follow up on a question I asked on IRC I would like to introduce it in the forum:

I truly believe finishing a quest needs a lot of XP bonus. (=now you get nothing)

This way you are encouraged to do quests instead of running to hell, heaven, hell, heaven, hell ...
