Latest CVS bug

Ragnor gave me a quick fix for the monster drop bug, then I found another.

Raffles don't work anymore. The hole appears below the item, but the item gets "stuck" in mid air.

Question about the "brace" command.

I'm just curious why brace reduces my WC and AC? Other than allowing me to attack very quickly in place (combined with a run+direction), what other benefits am I missing that would warrant this penalty?

Scripting with Java

How exactly would I use a script made with Java? The tutorial points it to the "path of the script", but the examples use compiled C binaries, and I don't think I can readily get Java stand-alone binaries. So do I supply the run-time command like "java ~/foobar" ?

Lastest CVS server bug

Has anyone tried building a server with the CVS method from the FAQ? The server ends up having monsters that don't drop loot (tested with the 3 practice rooms in pup_land with the easy to get life potion).

Player specific key bindings

Where is cpl.name found? I'm looking to get the player specific key bindings for Linux GTK client, but it complains of this. I can't seem to find where that comes from, except maybe from the Win32 GTK.
