Note that picture files do not have a .png extension... they are usually named with a .base.0 at the end. yes, that's correct.

Solution for requested bug-fix...
- Install the pre-packaged images. Those are available for download here . This is the complete set of Crossfire pictures - The client will not transfer pics from the server if it already got them, and thus will not mess up them.
