As it is now the character title is limited to only 15 characters.

I've heard many people try to create titles that are bigger than that.

I for once can't happily add AFK to my name whilst keeping the title intact. From what I know it shouldn't be very difficult to change the title length.

Feel free to post any pro or counter arguments here.

Missing Option: 79 characters - My title occupies one line (+ the null)

Since changes to the 'who command are now visible on metalforge one can see that there is plenty of space on the same line as the character name for longer titles.

Hence this poll

I'm not concerned, for i am a dragon. But i think the longer is the best...

Personally I am not to bothered about the length of titles anyway, fifteen-ish characters is plenty unless you are trying to shoehorn a guild name in, (something that seems IMHO to be too fps-game-ish). What might, I feel, prove to be more interesting would be the ability to change the 'the' word, thereby allowing a character to be called 'name von title' or 'name de title' etc.

#1 - Titles are not particurarly interesting to me either as I am normally a dragon. That being said, longer titles are probably not difficult to add (i'd be willing to bet it's just an array of a specified length. The question is if the arrey is #define'd in which case replacing it is easy (necessitates a recompile) or if it's hardcod as 15, could be messy.
(Also, does anything hinge off that)

As of yet, i haven't hadly glanced through the code for the server, I've been playing with maps. Anyone can comment?

Personally I'd like to see the title grow a bit(a non-dragon over here), also I'd like to know what the rest of you folk out there think about it.

That's why you should make your picture yourself and host it yourself. It looks a bit rubbish, but it is appropriate.

Am I alone in finding this thread makes me think of the Monty Python sketch with;
