Raffle 2 is HEAVILY bugged!

Hope some DMs take notice of this, I already left a message with Hoz for Bamf. :?

In raffle 2, there are LOTS of bugs. A couple I'm not absolutely sure if they're bugs, but a couple are so obvious that I can't beleive no one noticed before. [And if they did, they didn't say anything about it.]

Bug 1- Uncertain- The gates at the entrance won't open unless both people are standing OUTSIDE. Annoying for people who WoR out and then can't get back in.

Bug 2- Uncertain- Similarly, to get out without WoRing both players have to be standing on the buttons near the ladders on the inside.

Bug 3- Uncertain- Spells and Prayers are allowed inside the "Brave Warrior" path. This might be intended but I have a suspicion it's not, due to Bug 4.

Bug 4- Certain- Spells and Prayers are NOT available inside the "Wise Sorcerer" path. This is crazy. I think maybe this was mixed up in Bug 3 because since the sorcerer is to use magic, this is DEFINITELY a bug. The "Wise Sorcerer" can't even DO Raffle 2 if they don't have good close combat skills as well.

Bug 5- Certain- Doors in both paths are almost invincible. It takes me 1 minute to get 5 "You <do something to> the door!" messages, and it still takes about 30 of those messages to break down the door, making for a LONG time, approx. 6 minutes of running at the door, which can get monotonous, especially since in the warrior path there are 3 doors. I think this may have something to do with the "dun3" that is under the door [being the "hologram wall" which you can go through once the EVIL door is finally broken down].

My friend, who only carries 2 scrolls of WoR around with him as opposed to getting a rod or the prayer, got stuck in the Sorc path with both scrolls turned to dust and had to wait for someone to come and let him out, while I freely used my rod of WoR to get out and form a rescue team. This is not only confusing but also annoying, since it makes Raffle 2 almost impossible. I implore any DM who sees this post to DO SOMETHING!! :!:

Spells are available to the wise sorceror, if you do some poking around

Not according to my friend when he got stuck. There is only a very small area where the sorcerer CAN do magic- at the ENTRANCE, where there is nothing to do!!

Unless they want to WoR out, in which case that's LUCKY.

Negative. The majority of the area is no magic, but when I was there last night with you I was able to do magic in a few areas. I am not sure it is intentional, but they do say the WISE soerceror so maybe it is?

methinks most of your "problems" are actually features of the areas involved.

in at least one case, Precident: Path to Cloud city. It's a 1-way path once you get high enough. A 1-way paath is NOT a bug.

As to the "can't cast", I'm guessing you were standing on a cursed or damned item. Both will stop you from casting or praying.

The one square in the whole room annoys me, especially when I can't always find it.

It's always in the same spot :-)

i searched around and i couldn't find it, so i had to keep running in and out using a rod of heal then running in again, and as for 1 square, well it should be more lucky sorceror than wise surely?

I did some poking around. :o It turns out [strangely, since holy word or banishment are NECESSARY for people with very little health :x ] that in the ghost room, the only square available is the one near the gate... in order for you to use a certain spell to continue... [came dangerously close to a spoiler there 8)]
Afterwards, spells ARE allowed, so the only bug(s?) remaining are #1 and #5 [see my first post]. The door problem can be fixed by simply removing the "dun3" object, and the gates, while it is necessary to have both players standing outside so that they can do Raffle 2 in conjunction, the buttons still could be "untangled" a bit so that they are more easily understood and used. Thanks for taking time to post on this topic, but I think we're about wrapped up! :P See you all later!
