What is 'adornment' for?

Do the items of adornment have any use - or are they just adornments, whatever that is in Crossfire?

Methinks adornment items can be used as components for creating other items of a similar type, or for roleplaying. Any other ideas ?

Rings for marriages :D but since we only have male players (IC,or maybe female dragons dunno, male humans only though) that seems kinda missplaced

Indeed. Jeweler skill allows creating rings, ammys, etc.

They are just a more valuable ring.

Similar to a gem of flawless beauty - it's simply a gem that has a higher sale value then others.

Nethack maps are not easy to find, if you want clues - ask existing guild members, or just give me a holler and I'll make you a portal. It really is a fun trip to do. Grab a buddy or two and off we go! :P

Who said anything bout needing a buddy? that map should be a piece of cake, not even requiring charmkills, Im just interested in finding it apart from using guild portals.
