Uh oh... It didn't work! I still can't connect...
The server seems to be hanging

From my experiments I think the crossfire server program is hanging. Experiement: You can telnet to port 13327 on crossfire.metalforge.net - if there isn't any program listeneing on that port, the reply will be 'connection refused', and if the entire server is down, it will be 'no route to host', but when I try, telnet (or any other program that tries to connect) just hangs. IOW, something seems to be listening, but never gets back with an answer.
