Keep in mind that Holy Word and other spells of this type (Banishment, Holy Orb, etc.) are -not- damage monster only spells.

Players who worship Devourers can be damanged by these spells, because they are considered undead.

Player who worship gods such as Gaea, their holy spells can be deadly to Devourer followers and Wraith players. Just like Lythander's holy spells can be deadly to Troll players.

Please keep this in mind when you see other players in a room and think you can use holy word and not hurt them - you might!

*cough* did that to 2 players on accident.. I thought I was doing dimension door (switched the skill with "+") but didn't get far enough and cast a level 110 banishment.. 2 players stuck in corner.. 1 managed to run down the stairs, other died.. Cost me 30 minutes in jail..

..but to reinforce what Leaf just said.. Banishemnt and Holy Word is VERY dangerous to players whose gods are your gods enemies or who are undead-type.. Even more so than some other spells (since lots of people have resistances which help deflect some damage).. Hardly anyone has resistance to banishment or holy word..

Especially when partying be weary of what you cast where..Now meteor swarm is also deadly to other players.. I remember we used to cast meteor swarm in same room as our teammates (because they were not taking any damage).. now you can kill them in seconds..
