A few annoyments

I downloaded ver 1.7 of the client, and while I like it in general, there's a couple of 'funny' things:
1. When I start it up, the map is only half visible - I have to reposition it.
2. On one machine (Mandrake Linux 9.0) I can see things like a '*' for locked items and '(worn)' for armour that I wear, but on another machine (Redhat) I can't see these things. Is there an option that controls this?

I encounter this as well. But, I just reize the window as necessary because each character I have has a different number of skills to display at the top. I always thought this might be related.

did you try resizing it to the right size once and then "save windows positions"?
it works for me

BTW, the command for save window positions is 'savewinpos'.

I have a similar problem, except it's rather from the same client machine, depending on the server I connect to, I get the '*' right or not. And the most annoying part is that they're not there when I connect to localhost...

Use the command: 'showicon
This will toggle the display of the * for locked items and if an item is 'worn' or not.

should be on by default IMHO - I think it used to be.
