My Hit Points can't make up their mind!

K. really wierd. - Playing on crossfire.metalforge.net

up until I hit lvl 10 overall with my Fireborn every time I would level up in a particular skill it would affect my max Hp-Sp-Gr. sounds perfectly normal right?

Well then I noticed that while say I leveled in Pyromancy- then yes my SP_MAX would go up a few points but I also noticed that either my Gr or my Hp would DECREASE at least a couple of points.

This also happened when I increased in literacy: My hps went up two points yet I lost two Sp.

Now the really odd thing is that now that my overall is beyond lvl 13 it seems to have stopped happening.

Also I am aware of the penaties for dying. This is not related to those penalties.

It was easily repeatable when levelling with two different Fireborn Characters.

and again - only seemed to happen until around level 10, and the same thing would happen when levelling ANY skill. They all would produce some influence to either Hps Sps or Gr- one gets a bonus the other gets taken away from.

wacky eh? :)

hmm

i dont know, leaf or others may help you, but it may be that spells add attributes to your stats, like if i researched an ice spell my str stat and hp might go down, but my mp will go up? i do not know, cause i have a problem with the LIBGLIB.DLL problem going around

An admin (Katia?) on Metalforge explained to me why this is happening (I noticed the same thing). According to ver, when you improve a skill, you lose a few HP or SP or GR. Ve didn't know why this happens, nor whether it's a bug or a feature.

You need the "2.0" file, containing files "bin" "etc" "lib" and "share".
You also need to download the client into the "lib" folder for it to work.
There are several other posts on this subject, one that should solve your problem is here: http://www.metalforge.net/cfmb/viewtopic.php?t=195

And by the way, after that you might have a problem with "libpng.dll" if you are using the 1.6.0 client, in that case you need to rename "libpng12.dll" to "libpng.dll". If you're using the 1.7.0, all is well after you solve the libglib problem.
