Where can i get a new server version?

I have a server and it actually works fine but i think its a bit old it has the very old images and some objects like forge ect just dont exist
i wonder where i can get a new version with the new images
i saw that new one to download but it was only 1 exe data and when i installed it on my backed up server directory it crashed.
so i would like to know where i can get a new server with all needed files
