The quit command

I feel like the quit command is a noob trap. Someone who is unsure of the system of the game might check the commands, see "quit" as one of the options, and use it, think it will save their character and exit the game.

However, the quit command essentially causes the character to commit suicide.

This seems like not the best use of a command called quit. Maybe a "ragequit" command would make more sense to delete the character, but not plain quit.

If such a change were to be made, maybe the quit command could save a character and exit the game, provided that character stands on a bed to reality.

Old topic discussed many times before.

Needs code to be re-written or a patch submitted to make this happen. Of which I do not have the ability to do or make happen. So, until then - the functions remains as is.

I actually used the quit command (believe or not) with some unrelated testing I was doing, and found that the command explicitly tells the player that it will delete the character, and prompts for confirmation/denial.

This seems like a safeguard for anyone awake enough to comprehend what they're reading, which is better than I was thinking the quit command did (I thought it just quit without confirmation).

Again, another instance of me writing from prior experiences and sticking my foot in my mouth with obsolete information.
