Hello, sorry for my english !

I just began the game and i talk with NPC, all guide said use " key to talk with NPC when near, sorry but i use the GTK1 client and it doesn't work, then i : "say hello" each time...
After this he want to talk me about one things then I: "say yes", then he talk about this and end with i have to talk about this too with you, then i : "say yes" again, but second time it don't work. I try do : "say how use items" or other things like this, it never works.

Second problem, when i keep the left key 2 seconds, without CTRL , the player move during 2 or 3 second on left, is the server too slow to understand and answer ? I thought it was the GTK client (i Hate gtk) then i used cfclient now, but same problem. I think problem come frm pixmaps loading, can i play in ascii or other modes ? if yes how ?

Thanks.

Try this instead:

'say <message>

For instance,

'say hello

The double quote key (") is or used to be the shortcut for 'say

Key or keyboard buffer (in the client) takes time to process that. Use the control key for faster and more controlled movement.

Press and hold down the control key, hit the direction key (once) that you want to travel; hit another key to change direction while keeping the control key pressed down. Release the control key to stop. Repeat as necessary.

No other "play modes" are available.
