On 2006-Oct-06, the server migrated to a more modern Linux distribution in order to support the switch to Subversion (and other game features (i.e., Python based guilds).
From within the game, this has been a completely transparent migration.
No data (items, experience, etc.) was lost and the game/server should continue to function as expected.
