Why not have cloaks or other things that change your race, but also change your ristences to comply to the race.

Well, (IMO) it would/should be more ellaborate then that, otherwise it would be copying features of another large scale, commercial, MMORPG.

I was thinking that if you had a animal/race hide or body part you could go to a place and get a shape change cloak made for you, or have a hidden shop which sells these things at a high price.

well, since we already have the dragons gaining resistances from eating things, how about other people can just wear them? new armour type:hide, but that shouldnt affect tanning too much.

Are you thinking of killing dragon characters to get their skins? It's a neat idea, but I hate PVP.
