Crossfire Forum

This is pretty simple to explain, but very anoying. I'm new to Crossfire and i've been having the normal trouble of downloading and now after leaving for a few minutes and coming back on the server it has no idea who i am and thinks I'm creating a new character! I've also tried rewriting my user if I had writen it wrong multible times. If it helps, my user is Etherian (I can't disclose my password). Thanks in advance.

Is this on a public server or a private/local?

If public, are you sure you reconnected to the same server?
The server numbers listed in the metaserver can change.

Note also, player/character names are case sensitive.

Did your character gain at least 500 experience before logging off?

How did your character leave the game?
Did they apply a bed of reality in an apartment or inn?
Did you use the quit command or the File -> Quit feature in the client?

also if you leave the server inside of about 5 minutes after first connecting, you may not have hit one of the regular character saves that occur every 5-10 minutes.
