Item_power

Just recently i found a longsword +3 that had no item_power set at all. I thought that was nice, and swapped that with the +4 falchion i was allready using (which had item_power +3).
I logged out. When i came back, the longsword now has an item_power of +2 displayed, and when i type skills, it says my equipped item power is 22 out of 20.

I was able to duplicate this on Metalforge.
Here's what I did:
Purchase a sword with some magical plus on it (ex: shortsword +3). At the time of purchase, there was no item_power on the sword. I used the smithery skill to ID the sword, no change. Wielded the sword, item power 5 out of 17. Without the sword, 5 out of 17.
Logged out and exited the client; relaunched the client. Yeah, I probably could have tested by just logging out and back in.
Sword now has an item_power of +2, my item power is now 7 out of 17.
So, it would appear that items generated in shops do not properly apply item power calculations when the map first resets/populates.

that's quite interesting, it shouldn't matter that the item is in a shop, since shops use treasure lists just the same as dungeons.
It appears to be a bug in the treasure list code, although I don't have a clue exactly /where/ in the treasure list code.

For the record, my item_power-less longsword +3 dropped from a monster. (A skeleton i think, not that i believe it matters.)

Seems like this was not a freak accident. I just had a dragon shield crafted from a dragon scale in a store in Lone Town. It came out with not item_power as well. After logout-reenter, it is item_power +3 (which i guess is the normal value for it).
