okay sorry to ask this, but i messed up and deleted my character (its at least 2 years old)... is there any way to get it back? was helpin a friend n didnt read the notice that 'this button would delete your char!' X.x;;

When you use the quit command through either method:

'quit

-OR-

File -> Quit Character

This will PERMANENTLY delete your character.

Yes, this is as in gone forever*!


* Some servers and/or admins may have a backup method in place to restore a character, but this depends on how often the backup scheme is scheduled - you can lose anywhere from a few hours to days to even week(s) of progress if/when your character is restored.

i think it should have a different name than quit, at first i thought it quit the client, not deleat the charracter.

err x.x;; i dont hav the char i think... i signed in and it looks like its brand new o.o;; i think it used one of my chars i made to help a friend (temp ones, deleted after use mostly, except for this one...) get started on the server n such (to show them through the selection) x.x;;

sorry to bug ya with this (again)...

Perhaps its a really old backup, or a temp file?

That has been discussed frequently in [crossfire] mailing list.

kyanos, and i think one that would restore my char (if possible) would be from a week ago x.x;; the one kyanos saved for some reason (i clicked no save, used no bed to reality, nothing )
