Win95 gives troubles to a few people, apparently.
I'll try to investigate at some point (not sure when)

Hehe, should have read GTK's page:
http://www.dropline.net/gtk/download.php

Requirements:
* Microsoft Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP
* At least 32 megabytes of RAM
* At least a Pentium-class processor
* About 12 megabytes of free hard disk space
* At least 256 color depth

So Win95 is not officially supported (or they forgot to mention it, which i doubt)

Did you try putting that dll in question a) to windows\system directory b) the same directory as the client executable?

I'm trying to get this going then explain it to other people after I test it.

I am running WinME can suffer from an infrequent and vague error that crashes the game:

GTKClient caused an error in LIBGDK-WIN32-2.0-0.dll. If the problem persists restart the computer.

I have tried several times with reboots, but it still comes back infrequently. I havn't trace the problem to anything specific that I am doing, except it always seems to happen when I am on the move. Sometimes fighting, sometimes not.

Thanx

Ryo wrote:Well, imo that installer is 'clean', and puts its own DLLs in a separate directory to avoid polluting Windows/system32.
But the drawback is to have to add the lib path to $PATH

I would not call adding a path to PATH a drawback - it could be considered a 'properly utilizing the environment variables' operation...
