It wouldn't be too hard to have a minimum number of players. Having a jury randomly called upon would limit sock puppetry somewhat.

keeping track of players and calling only on those with a low 'time to last command' would fail most bot attempts too (is time to last command stored at all? IMHO it should be, maybe that is a way to fix the afk command.)

As far as properly upholding the law goes, well that is where meta-moderation by dms comes in (think slashdot's system). If someone persistantly makes 'bad' calls, then their score as a juror would decrease, and they would be called upon less. (but not never, they should get a chance to redeem themselves).

How would you get all the jury together?

get a python plugin to listen for death messages, when there is one with pk in it, and two different names involved, then run who and pick n names that are not the two that were invovled in the pk.

Likewise have a similar script listen to a magic ear in a courtroom

yeah, i havent seen you in a while either woo, but i see you playing. i was talking about leaf and seti. nice people, but they never seem to play.

and this is not any coding or mappig, its using chat to ask for a vote on the guiltyness of the person, which is then carried out by the dm, not a script. and for kills, its when both players say its an accident, but the mf rules say jail the killer. mostly if its an accident, the killer gets away, but with bort&mikee, we would probably vote mikee to be jailed...

I think it's important to note that Leaf is more then just a DM, he's also the admin if you will. He maintains the forum, updates the website, looks after updating the maps on the server, etc - he already contributes a lot of time and effort to thet game and I don't think it's at all fair to then say he should have his judgement questioned because he doesn't level his character anymore..
