On my primary system I run something that was once slackware 8.1 and is now vaguely related to slackware 9.1, but with most programs having been compiled manually at some stage. I don't compile anything from mozilla, or gcc or glibc, they are installed from binaries, since compiling would take far to long on my system (and likely fail anyway).

Note to mods, since this thread has drifted hopelessly off-topic, could you move it to the general chat board please?

Does this (or did this..) happen only when you were running the client? (The server was not on the local machine as well, right?)

Was it just one session of the client?

Did you have the -cache option enabled?

Back on topic! :)

This used to happen about umm.. 4 months ago. Especially when running an alchemy/pyromancy/summoning/etc. script for days on end. I think it was the text area getting very large with lots of messages stored up. Clearing text area did not seem to fx it and client had to be restarted.
