ok i get the same missing file error and i read what you told us to do and im confused i hardly know anything about computers i just like to play games plz tell what to do step by step what i need and basicly everything i have windows 98 if you need to know

nevermind about my post i started playing around and eventually fixed it

jesus this is so retarded. i want to play a game not do all of this other .... hell i got windows xp anyway and can't find the autoexec. i'll just delete all the files related to this game and play something else cause no game is worth this much trouble

How to install GTK client for windows:
(no messing w/ autoexec.bat or whatsoever.)

1. Install GTK, example C:\Crossfire\

2. install Crossfire GTK client to GTK:s lib directory, example C:\Crossfire\lib

3. Play the game and enjoy!

K and now I've tried copying the contents of the Loaders folder into the folders that the error was requesting and still get teh same error

I'm running WinXP - I had previsouly also tried changing the path variable to look for all these Dirs and still it can't find it

When the app needs to be uninstalled, you simply remove the files that were installed. This isn't tough. If you're going to bother porting libraries to Windows, the least you could do is learn how the system works. You could...

1) Create an InstallShield installer.
2) Create an MSI package
3) Create a Nullsoft Installer package.
4) Create your OWN Windows installer package by using *gasp* the built in functions designed for that purpose.

So far as Win95 and Win98 go, the first three of the above work perfectly well, so long as you know what you're doing.

OSS will be taken seriously when the OSS 'community' abandons this illogical hatred of another OS simply because you can't have the source code. There are many Windows installation package standards, based on varying needs. Where's Linux and BSD support for MSI? Who is coding a working RPMS implementation for Windows?
