If there were enough graphics I would have little problem with this for sure, but even the graphics we already have are not all animated and stuff yet - let alone a bunch of new ones.

I've long wanted to make a command (I never sit down to do it however...) that lets you use your race face OR your class face - at least until there are enough images made of each race/class combination for it not to matter. I mean, except for dragons, who can tell you are the same race or an emeny race these days? Another idea would be to make three or four defaults for each race - 'tough guy', 'light armour', 'rogueish', and 'magic dude' and then let people pick or have face changing booths. These could replace the class faces which I'm not a big fan of (they look fine, but the concept is not ideal IMHO - make it more generic I say).

Maybe we could tile characters with clothing...

We have a base male/female image

then we tile transparencies on top of the player image for clothing and cache the final tiled image until clothing changes. we could then define the area of body and color of item and it would add by section.

We could use the same images for each gender e.g white body = shirt. gray body = metal armor, brown body = leather armor.

For females we have an image with the obvious differences.


Essentially we have 1 color that is automatically recolored and the other is transparent.

Body parts: cloak, body, legs, dress (replaces legs), helmet and boots

There are obviously voices for and against sex in CF. I think a poll would be appropriate.

IMO, having appropriate graphics available is more important. Otherwise, what good is having gender as an option?

there is sex in CF now? I know that this game acts like a replacement for real life, but I had no idea it was so close a substitute....
