......or is GTK using DirectX in some way, which might cause some of the errors? Because the DirectX-version which is installed is rather old (5.0 or something). Unfortunately i can't install a new one, since i'm no admin.
There should be a etc folder where you installed gtk.
I suggest copying/moving all GTK's directory structure to crossfire's directory. This may work, or not...
Your error message sounds more like a path problem, though, so copying should fix.
That seems to have solved the problem. I still get many errormessages because he can't find a special font, but he's <quote> falling back to </quote> a diffrent one.
Just posting here also regarding the MS Sans Serif 8 font not being found, falling back to Sans 8. I get that error message in DOS window every pulse of the game, and every time I type in a character.
I'm running win98, I don't have this issue on winXP.

The 'corrupt line' is ok, not a big deal.
I checked around the client, and changed something, which may or not be related to your issue. I'll test, and when next version is out, you'll check whether that fixes your issue or not.
