You can add a default ownership option, like in Wyvern.
You try to pickup armour +5.
That belongs to <name>
You could also turn it off, for free trade.

locked chests should _not_ have their properties changed. They should just be locked (and also pickable). If you want a fireproof chest you'll have to buy an schest2 .

One thing I find unfortunate is the "need" to insulate the player from everything meme. This makes the game boring. Crossfire is not real life, it is a game. If you die in real life or get stolen from in real life it's a big deal, not in a game.

If you want to keep your stuff uber secure put in in your apartment.

I go to trade something with a friend. He gets my goods fine, then drops the stuff for me, and some guy like mikeeusa tears through with pickupall on.

He either A) drops it because he can't open it (my system), or B) picks the lock and keeps the stuff (your system).

Let's ask Leaf, hmm? If I recall, he's the one who banned you from MF...

is this neccessary now?

it strikes me that the parcel post ryo introduced provides a suitably secure method of trading (although maybe there should be a way to send items in escrow? a conditional send, if one party is only sending money, maybe hooking into the bank system?)

As cavesomething said, the improved IPO lets you send packages. There's a max weight or ~100, iirc, but should be enough to send most items :)

If not, i think mikeeusa has added a few "trade houses" hidden around the world.
