cavetroll's idea is sound. It would increase demand for life potions.

Agreed, I think that there should be more unicorns in that case too though...

er, the whole point is to make there be /fewer/ life potions in the game.

Maybe there should be one in scorn apartment to start off with as well, a little gift for the newbies to help them along?

I think the demand should be increased by about 2-4 times, but the avaliability increased by only about 1.5 times

yes, if demand increases, and supply says the same, then the number available drops.

This is also the reason for suggesting that newbie players should get a free one, maybe with a note attached explaining what it is. This would limit the degree to which they would be influenced by the change in market conditions, and make them less likely to need one too early on (unless they are seriously crap, and then it's their own problem).

maybe as part of the reward for the knight quest of scorn would be better though, that would limit sock puppetting for life potions (or maybe they should be god-given, so that high level characters won't scum them?)

However I find that many of the the people who would need it the most don't even know what that quest is :P

maybe there could be two? one god-given in scorn apartment, one another reward for the scorn knight quest (or maybe a different low level quest in navar?)

how exactly would the scorn knight quest be in pupland?

why do you think it is called the 'scorn' knight quest?
