Hello there, I have some suggestions

First of all I'd like to say that this game looks as if it has so much potential. In my eyes the graphics are wonderful, well that's my ultima 5 eyes ^^ It makes me feel as if it is more GAMEPLAY than graphics, and it is. I would really like to help out somehow.

Ok, first of all, the thing that makes the visitors close this site and not even bother trying this game IS the complexity of the website, all these versions, eveything to do, hard to actually LOGON to a server. What does that say about the game? It says to me, nobody online, and the game isn't evolving in that way.

What you need to do as I'm sure alot of players have said before- MAKE IT SIMPLE
Tibia doesn't have it's player ammount because of the game, heck, the game isn't that good BUT the website is very easy to understand!
You can download the game and start playing immidietly, and we all have to admit... that is what everyone wants.

My little 14 year old brother found this game and decided not to try it and I asked him, what's wrong with it? it looks awesome!

He told me the exact same thing everyone else WILL tell you, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW", that's it, you have made a wonderful game BUT how can people enjoy it when they don't understand?

Sure there are people like us who do understand, but we aren't the majority. It's easy to grow a good playerbase these days. All you need is a good game interference and EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND.

That DOES not GO for the game itself, the game NEEDS complexity, and it has it! Your biggest concern should now be HOW to make the website attract people!

If you need help to get more players after that, that I can arrange ;)

And if you need help with the interference, I can help you BUT first you need to work on making the website and gameclient simple!

A player should be able to download the game and then directly after MAKING an ACCOUNT login trough the client! It should be that simple, worry about the rest later!

Ok, thanks for a good looking game! I hope you don't take offense by my critizism, cause I just want to help out.

The client is simple. It is Windoze that is the problem. I run the client just fine on my Mandrake Linux box. No need to jump through hoops because all the tools needed to make the client run are already here. However in 'dozeland everything has/had to be ported. This makes it more complex ... at first. There are people already working to make installation under 'doze as brainless as a 'doze luser. Just bide your time and it will happen.

If you really want to make it happen faster then join the development efforts of those that are working on the 'doze install stuff. If you can't do that then your opinion is "nice", thanks.

[edit] Uh, what do you mean by "interference"?

Latest Windows installer should make sure everything is clear to work... But i may have missed a few things, who knows.....

Ok, you do need to install GTK, still.

Ryo, would it be possible to have the 'doze installer detect if GTK+ has been installed and then offer to open a browser window to the download site if it is not? Or, more work this, have the installer just download the GTK+ if it is needed and add that to the install? I'm not able to do any work on this as I don't use 'doze and I'm not much of a developer. I also don't know anything about the installer on the 'doze side so tell me if this is not workable.

Unless i was totally stone at the time i made it, current installer does just that :). It checks for GTK, and gives URL to download if not detected.

Maybe i should pack it with GTK (like gaim does, for instance), but haven't yet taken the time for that...
