I'm curious. Invisibility, and improved invis. grant a LONG time (nearing 5 mins?) invis. for a mage to stand off and cast spells, regen. spell points/health, etc.
Yet the same spell used by a fighter w/ high magic skills = about 20-30 seconds AT MOST (15-20 is more likely) before invis. runs out, be it improved or not. Eh? Despite statistics and skills in any field, invis. will ALWAYS run out very quickly for a fighter, and very slowly for a mage. The differences in class do not explain the rift, as a mage who attacks physically will share the timeframe of "spell duration" w/ the warrior, all other things being equal (or nearly).
I guess my question is this: Why is player invis. time set by their attack speed? (or perhaps # of attacks per invis. round, I'm not sure.)
My problem w/ this situation is that mages of ANY sort can cast invis. and move/cast/med./pray for about 5 mins before invis. wears out. A mage/fighter who casts invis. then attacks something physically (even w/ improved invis) has a MAX of 30 seconds attack time, then invis. is gone. Eh? The SAME spell lasts for around 1/10th of the time just because you're attacking physically? I don't get it..... >.<
I can understand it partially for balance, but when I look at it, the balance isn't there! It totally favors the mage standing off and casting. There IS no real balance between mage and mage/fighter relating to these spells, even if their casting stats. are nearly identical.
Bug or not?

Well I think its a matter of concentration. If you can't concentrate your spell will go "woosh".It sure is hard to concentrate on beeing invisible while you fight off monsters with a sword of whatsoever. You can concentrate better when you don't do anything special besides moving and maybe casting some (easy) spells.
I is sexy,ain't I?
