I only found nodel, and that character has been restored.

What about some of the music files used in Battle for Wesnoth ?

The hiscore list on the Metalforge server is for all character files created since the server went live until now - which is 15 years or more.

Players who are not active for 1year or more are archived as a way for me to determine active guilds, player shops, etc.

Every now and then, a server will stop "talking" to metaserver or the metaserver stops "listening" to that server.

A restart of the Crossfire server fixes this issue.

The Metalforge server had unscheduled down time starting around 11pm CDT until 1am CDT.

After tracking down the problem, it was quicker to recover the server startup script (crossloop) and key directories from a backup then to clean up the admin error that caused the problem in the first place ...

The Metalforge server had some emergency maintenance work earlier today.

A drive failed in the disk array (it's only using 2 drives), which was replaced.

The server is now back online.
