well, as long as its not too much work. You could always add these "features" and allow server admins to disable such things to their liking.

but maybe I just like tweaking too much....

Critical hit will really add a nice feel to the game in my opinion, but it must be coupled with critical misses ...

crossfire -detach (had to pass &) - 1.7.0

It could be because I am running under openssh (dedicated server has no keyboard..so ssh is easier).

Now, when I ran (as root over ssh - ooh the security risks...) the crossfire server with crossfire -detach It hung, so I waited for it to finish whatever it was doing. No return, so I swapped shells ...

Crossfire - nonroot daemon user/group

As with some of the mainstream daemons, they tend to come with privuser:privuser permission, as is the case with apache/httpd it may run as apache:apache.

I donot wish for the crossfire server to run as root:root.

It seems like this would be a nice feature, but I have no clue how much changes this ...

Now that my registration has completed...

The Official Name for my personal Distribution would be Slightly Automated Linux From Scratch, for short Salfs.
